I am a huge fan of Tolkien (and if you don't know who that is 1) shame on you and 2) google that shit) I read the following description and thought it was awesome.. also I have never done anything with Tolkien's stuff before- good to start small with that kind of thing I suppose .

I have not been idle! Just lazy with scanning- these are some recent sketchbook pieces that I have been working on- I have tried to get back into really filling a sketchbook page and sticking with some drawing and trying to a whole piece out of it even though it remains in the sketch stage- I might play with some of them in photoshop as well. .

Also, I have started to draw in PEN so I am practicing both not erasing and forcing myself to continue drawing through mistakes.. of which are plentiful and often.

This is a sketch for a piece I plan on doing in the near future- I thought of a robot kind of graffiti-styled helmet- this is my first sketch for it- took about 2 hours- I hope to render out the final work.

I haven't done a graff (graffiti) piece in a long time- so I rifled through some old sketch books and found one I wanted to color- here it is.... worked out well, had a lot of fun- I am working on another one right now- but its a little more complicated than this was.. but hope you enjoy it!

Street Fighter Coloring Challenge

So I found this artist named Alvin Lee online- his penciling skills for comic book art is kick-ass.. I'd advise you go to his website if you like that sort of thing ( Alvinleeart.com) - check out his drawings..

anyways- he had a coloring contest for one of the posters he made (above) and I decided to enter and toss my own color scheme to it- I have been slowly working on it over the last few months and this is how it came out- the resolution is not very good in the image above, I had to shrink it quite a bit to fit the 1M. size qualification- but it was really cool because I have never worked on anything like this before. I had tons-o-fun. I will be posting more graff-related work on here soon too. words

I was just doodling with my tablet and started forming this face. . . Boring-story short I decided to make a portrait and it formed into a self portrait somehow. I really got into it and decided to keep it. Thought I would toss it on the blog for my friends to see..

I was working with Adam, drummer of the pop-rock legendary band Headstart, on a t-shirt design for an upcoming show and EP release later this september. This is what I came up with, not sure if it is going to be the final design/color: but it works for me. I'll post the final work when it is done.

Back Attack!

Lost the internet for a while- now I'm back on art-attack. Maybe some of you have heard of the game "corn hole"?? yes.. thats the actual name.. you know the one you see out in front bars where drunk people throw bean bags at each other trying to get it into the 6 inch hole in the board? It's a variation on horseshoes, but awesome-er.

I was given a chance to design a set of corn-hole boxes for a family friend- this is the first one- the theme is Jimmy Buffet / margaritaville- I'll post the second box in stages as I paint it.

Blue Robot

This is the blue robot I plan on using is a lot of upcoming personal work. My plan is to take this robot and put him in situations around the world... something whimsical about him and yet he demands an understanding.. perhaps he can levitate.. or even fly? who knows.. with robots, anything goes.

I went down to boston on tuesday night for the launch party of DYN-Inc's new marketing plan. As a designer for their apparel I felt my presence was needed. Along with the beautiful hotel and bar the night went exceptionally well.. and the free drinks helped.

Here I am just messing around with colors and metal. I wanted to take something mechanical and make it more interesting with color and little rendering. I chose a gun just because it is very easy to identify and everyone knows what they are... I also bust glocks on occasion-

I really like the action/stance of the "jumping"(?) robot in the middle of that last sketch so I made this little color render of it- I think it has some promise. Maybe I'll do more with this little guy!

So I got a new job working with a contractor until I can get a car and move to Portland- I am also painting on some murals for my town- I'll take pictures of that when I do it- probably next weekend- whenever I am not working and it's not raining.. I was just messing around with the logo for the company I hope to some day run tonight- threw together a color sample design- reminded me of tic-tac-toe. I like working with flat color and geometric shapes.. I find it really easy to make something interesting in just a few short minutes. Tomorrow I am working on more graphics- I sent the sketches in today- I will post them as I get further along with the project. Later.

Hello- I am just starting my blog now to get some art/work up online. I will be posting some of my senior work from school up here soon- maybe next week will be the week I will start my piece-per-week art blogging. I hope to have a good collection of work up here so others (as well as myself) can view my work in a progressive state.

I will also be posting some graphics I have been working on for a company in NH- designing stuff for their marketing campaign-

Along with that I will be putting up my personal work- I am currently in collaboration with another artist doing a graphic novel-type project- very exciting- I will elaborate on that as it unfolds.
